| In 1965 my father first
brought me to the Belgrade lakes and Whisperwood, since then my appreciation of Maine,
the lakes and the wildlife only increased over these years. Fishing
Salmon and McGrath lakes with my Dad were some of the best memories of my
life. These past 10 years, Doug & Candee McCafferty continue the
tradition of the Maine experience with their warm and friendly
hospitality. Enjoy great food after an energy burning day of exploring, swimming,
boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing or just relaxing with a book by
the lake - the way Maine life should be - you will not be disappointed. I guarantee you will
think Doug and Candee are like family and you will look forward to your next
