The best time to plan a family vacation with your children at Whisperwood is during the months of July and August. The longer daylight hours and warm temperatures make it perfect for relaxing by the lake while the kids swim and enjoy outdoor activities.
Whisperwood has a long tradition of accommodating families seeking a peaceful lakeside vacation – away from their normal busy schedules.
Many of our guests have made an annual week at Whisperwood a family tradition. At Whisperwood we understand there is no better way to create life-long memories with your children and grandchildren than spending relaxing family time enjoying the outdoors.
We would like to encourage you to develop these childhood memories by providing them the chance to experience healthy activities like swimming, hiking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, and exploring nature. And yes, let’s not forget the Salmon Lake specialty “Fishing”. Good fishing memories do last a lifetime.
Our facility also includes a recreation hall for those inevitable rainy days. Recreation activities such as table tennis, air hockey, darts, a couple of video games and a pool table can be found in the Recreation Hall. Family board games, jigsaw puzzles and a television are located in the Lodge.
Cooking marshmallows at the camp fire ring on the waterfront is always a very popular evening activity.
For those kids that can be hard to please when it comes to mealtime, we have a kids menu.
